Mercy Health’s Victorian hospitals and health services are now prescribed Information Sharing Entities (ISEs) under new Victorian legislation: Family Violence Information Sharing Scheme (FVISS) (Part 5A Family Violence Protection Act 2008) Child Information Sharing Scheme (CISS) (Part 6A of the Child Wellbeing and Safety Act 2005)

Family Violence Information Sharing Scheme (FVISS) and Child Information Sharing Scheme (CISS) Requests

Information sharing requests under the Family Violence Information Sharing Scheme (FVISS) and Child Information Sharing Scheme (CISS) must be completed by an authorised Information Sharing Entity (ISE) and/or Risk Assessment Entity (RAE). The requesting authorised person/agency will need to be verified prior to the release of information under FVISS or CISS.
