Chemotherapy at Mercy Hospital for Women

The Mercy Hospital for Women Chemotherapy Unit use eviQ protocols for all our chemotherapy patients. These protocols and detailed information can be found here. In the next few months, Mercy Hospital for Women Chemotherapy Unit will begin to send out letters via post when your patient is starting chemotherapy, with basic details regarding their treatment.

Health pathways have information on non-acute gynaecology referrals and chemotherapy side effects, nausea and vomiting and infection concerns.

To refer your patient to our Chemotherapy unit please use the HealthLink SmartForm for the Gynaecology oncology clinic.

Mercy Hospital for Women are working on developing a Symptom and Urgent Review Clinic (SURC).

If you are concerned about your patient who is undergoing chemotherapy, please call:

  • The Mercy Hospital for Women Chemotherapy Unit, Tuesday – Friday on 8458 4888
  • Outside of these hours, call switchboard on 8458 4444 and ask to speak to the 2nd on registrar
  • Or alternatively send your patient into our emergency department
