The Postgraduate Certificate of Advanced Nursing (Perioperative Nursing) is designed for registered nurses wanting to undertake postgraduate studies in the Perioperative Department. This course provides registered nurses with the opportunity to apply theory to practice.
Werribee Mercy Hospital is a clinical partner with Deakin University, providing part-time employment to students while undertaking postgraduate studies with Deakin University.
The Learning Team provides both mentorship and clinical support to optimise completion of clinical competency assessments.

Applications for postgraduate opportunities will open in August/ September.
Applicants will be required to apply via the Mercy Health careers website along with the supporting documents listed below.
To apply for the Graduate Certificate of Advanced Nursing (Perioperative), you are required to have:
- a Bachelor Degree (or equivalent qualification) in the discipline of nursing
- a current unrestricted registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Agency as a Division 1 Registered Nurse
Mercy Health will assess applications and if eligible, Mercy Health will support nomination to Deakin University. You will then submit your enrolment to the university.
