Werribee is located about 32km south-west of Melbourne’s city centre. Travel time from the city by car is about 30 minutes. Werribee Mercy Hospital is located about 50km from the city of Geelong. Travel time from Geelong by car is about 45 minutes.
The hospital is located opposite the Hoppers Crossing Railway Station on the Werribee line. It takes 5-10 minutes to walk from the railway station to the hospital main entrance.
Parking availability
Parking is available at the Werribee Mercy Hospital site.
Building works are currently underway in the main entrance car park at Werribee Mercy Hospital and on the internal road connecting the front and back of the hospital.
Limited parking is available in the main entrance car park.
The pick-up and drop-off zone at the main entrance of the hospital is open.
The pick-up and drop-off zone at the main entrance of Gabrielle Jennings Centre (palliative care inpatient service) is currently closed due to roadworks.
If the main entrance car park is full, additional parking is available in the multi-storey car park at the back of the hospital. This car park can be accessed from the Princes Highway, after the Emergency Department entrance.
Accessible parking is available in the main entrance car park for patients and visitors who hold a valid disability parking permit. Accessible parking is also available near entrances to the Emergency Department, Outpatient Clinic and Maternity Unit.

Patient bus service
The Werribee Mercy Hospital bus service is a free service to help you get around our hospital. The bus transports patients and visitors between the following locations:
- Multi-storey car park
- Hospital main entrance
- Gabrielle Jennings Centre (palliative care inpatient service)
- Outpatient Clinics
The bus operates seven days a week from 8.00am – 8.00pm.

Car parking fees – concession rates
Concession card holders, and patients accessing renal, oncology, palliative care, parents with children in the Special Care Nursery, partners or the next of kin to patients in the Mother Baby Unit, mental health or palliative care can access car parking concession rates as per below:
$4 Patients who must attend Werribee Mercy Hospital two or more times per week for an extended period (1–5 weeks)
$3 Patients who must attend Werribee Mercy Hospital one to two times per week for an extended period (6–12 weeks)
$15 (first day) + $1 per extra day Multiple day parking (without exit)
Free People who attend Werribee Mercy Hospital to provide volunteer or pro bono services (subject to approval)
$5 Other – concession card holders

Access outside these hours is via the Emergency Department.
Werribee Mercy Hospital is undergoing an expansion to better serve the rapidly growing population in Melbourne’s outer west. During this process, some areas of the building may be restricted. Click here for more information.

After hours access
The Emergency Department entrance is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The maternity unit can be accessed after standard business hours by using the intercom at the entrance to the unit.
Gabrielle Jennings Centre has its own entrance, which is open 7am–8pm. Access outside these hours is by prior arrangement with the nurse in charge.

The Werribee Mercy Hospital Emergency Department provides urgent assessment and treatment for people of all ages, and for all conditions.
For non-urgent conditions, there are general practitioners (GPs) located near the hospital who are available until late in the evening.
If you are unsure about your condition, or you are concerned about a family member, come to the Emergency Department.

Outpatient Clinics
Werribee Mercy Hospital offers specialist services across Allied Health, Medical, Surgical, Women's and Children's health care. A large number of the specialist services are located within the Outpatient Clinics building, next to the multi-level car park.
Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
The Werribee Mercy Hospital Intensive Care Unit (ICU) cares for patients who need close monitoring after complex surgery, through to patients with life-threatening conditions.
Mother Baby Unit
The Mother Baby Unit at Werribee Mercy Hospital is a mental health inpatient unit. We care for mothers and babies with mental health conditions from birth up until your baby is one year old.
