Werribee is located about 32km south-west of Melbourne’s city centre. Travel time from the city by car is about 30 minutes. Werribee Mercy Hospital is located about 50km from the city of Geelong. Travel time from Geelong by car is about 45 minutes.
The hospital is located opposite the Hoppers Crossing Railway Station on the Werribee line. It takes 5-10 minutes to walk from the railway station to the hospital main entrance.
Parking availability
There are four parking areas at Werribee Mercy Hospital:
- P1 carpark near the main hospital entrance (enter via Hoppers Lane) – limited spaces, all with two-hour time limit
- P2 carpark outside the Emergency Department (enter via Princes Hwy) – limited spaces, short-term emergency parking only
- P3 carpark near the Outpatients Department (enter via Princes Hwy) – limited spaces
- P4 carpark (enter via Princes Hwy) – all day parking available
There are pick-up and drop-off zones at:
- The main hospital entrance (enter via Hoppers Lane)
- Maternity and Newborn Services entrance (enter via Princes Hwy)
- Gabrielle Jennings Centre entrance (enter via Princes Hwy)

Accessible parking is available to patients and visitors who hold a valid disability parking permit. Accessible parking bays are located near the main hospital entrance, Outpatients Department and the Maternity and Newborn Service Entrance.

Patient bus service
The Werribee Mercy Hospital bus service is a free service to help you get around our hospital. The bus transports patients and visitors between the following locations:
- Multi-storey car park
- Hospital main entrance
- Gabrielle Jennings Centre (palliative care inpatient service)
- Outpatient Clinics
The bus operates seven days a week from 8.00am – 8.00pm.

Werribee Mercy Hospital welcomes visitors between 10am until 8pm.
Visits outside these hours are at the discretion of the nurse or midwife in charge.
Hospital Entrances
- From 6:30am to 8:00pm – access to the hospital is via the main entrance (closest to Hoppers Lane) and the Rear and Maternity and Newborn Services Entrances (closest to the multi-level carpark)
- From 8:00pm to 6:30am:
- The maternity unit can be accessed via the intercom at the Maternity and Newborn Services Entrance
- The Emergency Department is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week

For non-urgent conditions, there are general practitioners (GPs) located near the hospital who are available until late in the evening.
