Overview
This service operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It provides a triage service for the entire Mercy Mental Health and Wellbeing program.
The triage team provides a telephone service to people between the ages of 16 to 64 years, who are experiencing mental distress or crisis. People may be in need of hospital admission, or treatment in the community as an alternative to hospital admission.
Mercy Mental Health and Wellbeing provides adult mental health services across the south west Melbourne area. These services are provided in numerous locations across a geographically-defined catchment area.
Not your catchment?
Public mental health services are provided through ‘catchment areas’, or ‘area mental health services’ across Victoria. Access to the different services is based on age brackets; child and adolescent services, adult services, aged services and disability services.
