Overview

Woi-wurrung-yagila-wulumperi, Whittlesea Early Parenting Centre (WEPC) is an Early Parenting Centre (EPC)

 

EPC’s strive to support happy, healthy, safe and thriving babies and toddlers by promoting the parent-child relationship, and equipping parents with strategies to achieve their parenting goals. These goals are often in areas such as sleep and settling, child behaviour, and parent and child health and wellbeing. EPC’s recognise that the health and wellbeing of the primary caregiver, and whole family is vital to children’s development and outcomes. EPC’s provide specialist support for Victorian families with children’s aged 0-4 years.

WEPC is a public hospital funded by the Victorian Department of Health.

EPC’s provide the following core services
Residential services – 24 hour multiday centre based intensive early parenting programs
Day Stay services – centre based day programs
Telehealth services

Services for professionals

We offer placements for postgraduate university students in maternal and child health studies. Other postgraduate student placements may be offered after consultation.

WEPC is located on Anchorage drive.

The car park is located underneath the centre.

There is not cost for car parking

There is a ramp to enter the building. The front doors are automatic.

Parking availability

WEPC has a large car park for staff, clients and visitors. The car park is located underneath the centre

There is accessible car parking available close to the main entrance for people who hold a disability parking permit.

There is no cost for car parking

Public transport

WEPC is located 5 mins walk to South Morang train station and the bus depot at Westfield Plenty Valley shopping centre.

Taxis

WEPC does not have a taxi rank. WEPC Reception Staff are very happy to assist with calling a taxi.

Visitor information

Open hours

WEPC’s Reception is open from 8.30am Monday to 5pm Friday. The Centre is closed on weekends and for 2 weeks over the Christmas Holiday period.

After hours access

There is a Intercom at the front entrance to WEPC. Please ring the Intercom and staff will let you in.

General visiting hours

Our visiting hours are 12 noon to 4 pm. Please check with the staff looking after you to discuss these visiting hours in more detail.

On site shops and cafes

WEPC does not have a cafe. Local cafe’s and shops are all within 5 mins walk
