Overview
Physiotherapy offers comprehensive assessment, diagnosis and treatment for disorders of pain and dysfunction in conditions specific to women’s health.
Inpatient services are provided to Maternity, Gynaecological, and Neonatal wards, and to the Emergency Department and Birthing Suites.
Outpatient services are provided to people with health issues relating to muscles and bones, people requiring pelvic floor and continence rehabilitation, and a range of paediatric disorders.
Group sessions are offered for pelvic girdle pain, back care during pregnancy, and antenatal and postnatal education.

What to expect on the day
The Physiotherapy Department usually runs on time. If you have been waiting longer than 15 minutes, please speak to reception. Most appointments take 30 minutes, however they may take as long as one hour.

This includes comprehensive assessment, diagnosis and treatment for painful disorders and women’s health dysfunctions.
