Overview
Our dietitians have specialist knowledge of nutrition for women’s health and babies admitted to our Special Care Nursery and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
For outpatients (people attending appointments):
- Dietitians provide a service to pregnant patients for gestational diabetes, pre-existing diabetes, weight management, morning sickness and nutrient deficiencies.
- Dietitians also see patients with polycystic ovarian syndrome.
For inpatients (people admitted to the hospital):
- Dietitians provide expert advice on conditions such as pregnancy, diabetes in pregnancy, weight management in pregnancy, women’s cancer and support sick and premature babies.
- Dietitians work closely with Food Services to ensure meals provided are nutritious and meet our patients’ needs.

Monday to Friday, 8am–4pm
Your appointment
What to bring
Outpatients:
- bring your appointment letter with you if you have one
- bring any relevant test results.
Inpatients:
- let nursing staff know of any allergies or special dietary requirements you may have
- provide a list of any vitamins you are taking
- provide a list of any oral nutrition supplement drinks you are taking
