Team Composition
Throughout your experience you may be supported by:
- a gynaecologist experienced in colposcopy and treatment of pre-cancerous conditions of the cervix, vagina and vulva
- a nurse experienced in colposcopy and treatment.
For health professionals
We evaluate abnormal cervical screening tests/co-tests and treat pre-cancerous conditions of the cervix, vagina and vulva under local or general anaesthetic once a diagnosis is made. We use laser and cervical excision procedures (ie. LLETZ or cone biopsy)
There is a fortnightly dysplasia meeting held on Thursday morning from 0800-08:30 to assess complex cases or those requiring histopathological or cytopathological review due to discordance of results.
Please contact [email protected] with a referral letter, all the appropriate cytology and histopathology results (including laboratory numbers) and a clinical question.
Please ensure you include all CST/co-test results and/or the patient’s PRODA history, relevant additional swabs or scans with the original referral.
