St Vincent’s at Mercy IBD Service Referral Criteria
Patients can be referred with a confirmed diagnosis of either Crohn’s Disease, Ulcerative Colitis or Inflammatory Bowel Disease Unclassified.
A comprehensive diagnostic workup must be completed prior to referral, and other serious causes excluded .
What to bring
Accompanying documentation that must be provided :
Doctor’s referral letter detailing diagnosis and previous / current treatments, recent CT, MRI, scope reports together with Histopathology report, current bloods and Faecal Calprotectin.
Gastrointestinal Specialist Details if transferring from another service, or currently prescribed Biologic therapy.
