Overview
In this pregnancy model of care, women see a private obstetrician accredited with Mercy Hospital for Women (MHW) for their pregnancy and birth care. You have access to our Emergency Department and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit if required.
MHW is a tertiary facility (providing high-level care, education and research) with paediatric, anaesthetic and theatre staff on site 24 hours a day.
Private patients have access to single rooms (with ensuite) based on their level of private insurance cover. MHW has arrangements with most health funds to minimise out-of-pocket expenses for hospital admission.
