What to do before
Please write down a list of questions you may have. You can also refer to the information on the Mercy Perinatal website.
What to bring
Please bring:
- your Medicare card (or your passport and private healthcare fund if you do not have a Medicare card)
- your referral (if you have one)
- any pathology or ultrasound results.
What to expect on the day
Perinatal medicine appointments can take some time. You may need to see another clinician or have an ultrasound scan. Please allow three hours for your first appointment. We recommend you bring a support person with you. Young children can find the long appointment times difficult — we recommend making arrangements so they do not have to attend with you.
