The Victorian Government is removing two dangerous and congested level crossings along the Hurstbridge line, building a brand new Rosanna Station, and duplicating the single section of track between Heidelberg and Rosanna. This will make communities safer and get commuters in Melbourne’s north east home sooner.
As part of the track duplication between Heidelberg and Rosanna stations, upcoming construction activities include works beside the current Burgundy Street overpass to prepare for the new rail bridge.
Between Tuesday 10 October and Wednesday 11 October 2017, there will be a temporary partial road closure and pedestrian detours on Burgundy Street, between Studley Road and Mount Street. There may be some intermittent closures overnight during this time.
What to expect:
• Temporary partial road closure between Tuesday 10 October and Wednesday 11 October 2017 on Burgundy Street between Studley Road and Mount Street
• Intermittent closures on Burgundy Street, may occur during the night
• Pedestrian detours will be in place for the duration of these works
• A large crane operating on the southern side of Burgundy Street during the works.
How this will affect you?
• Activity, lighting and noise will be noticeable during these works
• Traffic management, pedestrian detours and speed reductions will be in place on Burgundy Street.
For your safety, please observe any signage and instructions in place during these works.
