Tour booking

Locations:

Families booked to have their baby at Werribee Mercy Hospital (WMH) are invited to take a tour of the Maternity Services Unit. New patients booked to have their baby at Werribee Mercy Hospital are encouraged to book a guided tour of the Maternity Services Unit. Tours can help families become familiar with where to go when visiting for assessments during pregnancy.

A tour of Werribee Mercy Hospital can help some women feel more confident about giving birth. Each guided tour is conducted by a registered midwife who works at the hospital. Tours operate in small groups and start in the maternity reception area.

A tour of Werribee Mercy Hospital includes:

  • where to go when arriving for assessment during pregnancy
  • a walk through of our birth suites
  • visiting the postnatal ward, pregnancy day stay and maternity assessment unit
  • showing you the facilities available (cafeteria, kitchens, microwaves, tea and coffee area).

We will also discuss:

  • what to do if a couple wants to formula feed, e.g. where to sterilise bottles)
  • general information about our maternity services
  • visiting hours and length of stay
  • after-hours access for parents
  • any questions you may have.
